Artist Statement
"My work explores the relationship between colour, emotion and vibration. Through intuitive, high-frequency painting, I aim to create portals that awaken calm, clarity and possibility - artworks that feel alive and offer a steady reminder of love, connection and the goodness within us all."
The Energy Behind the Work
Lisa Sharpe has always experienced the world through colour - not simply as pigment, but as energy and emotional language.
Over time this awareness evolved into a practice of creating artworks that feel like portals: quiet invitations into a more expansive state of being.
Her work draws on the Law of Vibration, colour theory and emotional awareness, alongside a deep knowing that love is the most powerful creative force we have.
Each artwork is created with the intention of uplifting the spirit and gently reminding people of their own light.
Creating Art That Feels Good
"I believe colour has the ability to create its own visual language: a language which like music, by-passes the mind and connects directly to the soul - it's this language of emotions and connection which I strive to speak."
Art, Energy and the Power of Intention
Artist Lisa Sharpe joined internationally recognised wellness expert Katie Brindle on her podcast for a thoughtful conversation exploring the relationship between emotion, environment and creativity.
Katie’s work blends Chinese medicine, energy awareness and modern wellbeing, creating a fascinating context for a discussion about how consciously created art can influence the way a space feels.
Together they explore the role of intention, colour and good-feeling focus, and the subtle yet meaningful ways these elements can support everyday life.
A Billion Hugs
In 2022 and again in 2023, Lisa created Britain’s first moving public art installation dedicated to mental wellness. Titled A Billion Hugs, the project transformed a fleet of 25 iconic London Routemaster buses into travelling artworks that carried uplifting colour and vibrational messages through the city.
Seen across London throughout the summer months, the installation reached millions of people - offering what Lisa describes as “a moment of visual warmth, connection and encouragement in the middle of the hustle and bustle of daily life.” The project was featured on the BBC and widely celebrated for its inclusive, heart-led approach to public art.
Painting With Intention and Energy
In her studio, surrounded by crystals, incense, flower essences and a 528 Hz tuning fork (the vibration of love), Lisa works slowly and intentionally, building each painting layer by layer using high-frequency pure pigment paints.
Colour becomes emotion. Emotion becomes energy.
Energy becomes a Portal: a way to reconnect with what feels good, expansive and true.
Every brushstroke carries an intention: love, peace, clarity, joy, strength. These intentions live within the artwork and radiate outward into the home.
Gem Art Fusion
In 2016, Lisa collaborated with Swiss gemologist and jewellery designer Doris Hangartner to create Gem Art Fusion: a unique concept of matching a painting with its resonating gemstone. The fusion of stone and painting created perfect synergy: this unique alignment of two beautiful energies creating a profoundly deep visual and sensory experience.
